Can I lock in today’s funeral prices?
Yes. AIM’s guaranteed prearrangement contracts lock in the prices of the funeral services and merchandise included in your contract. Your personalized quote and contract will identify what is included and guaranteed. Separate cemetery or third-party expenses should not be assumed to be covered.
Does a prepaid funeral plan include cemetery costs?
Not necessarily. Funeral-home arrangements and cemetery expenses need to be reviewed separately. Cemetery property, opening and closing, a vault or outer burial container, and a marker or headstone may involve additional charges. AIM will clarify what is and is not included in your quote.
Is a casket included in the burial package estimates?
The displayed Traditional Funeral Plus package, estimated from $8,500, includes a standard casket. The displayed Graveside Burial and Traditional Funeral packages do not include a casket. Review the package details and your personalized selections before making a decision.
Do I have to pay for my funeral plan all at once?
No. Depending on the plan and funding option selected, you may be able to make payments over time. AIM can also explain the 18-month early payoff option available with eligible plans.
Can I choose a graveside option instead of a traditional funeral?
Yes. AIM’s pricing page includes a Graveside Burial option as well as Traditional Funeral and Traditional Funeral Plus packages. AIM can explain the services and exclusions for each option and help you compare them with your wishes.
Can I plan now without prepaying?
Yes. Preplanning means exploring and documenting your wishes ahead of time. Prefunding means also establishing a financial arrangement for the selected services. You can begin the planning conversation without being required to purchase a funded plan.
What if I already own a cemetery plot?
Bring the information you have about the plot to your planning conversation. Confirm ownership details, use requirements, and any remaining charges with the cemetery. Owning a plot does not by itself establish which funeral-home services or other cemetery expenses have been paid for.
What happens to my plan if I move?
Portability and transfer provisions depend on the specific contract and provider. AIM will explain how those provisions apply to your plan before you make a decision.
What happens if I die while traveling?
Travel protection may be available for eligible plans to help with certain arrangements when death occurs away from home. AIM can explain the available protection and its specific terms.
Can I have a traditional funeral and still choose cremation?
